I'm excited to announce that I'm not only currently deep in the process of editing my own novel, but I'm actively soliciting new clients as both an editor and college essay consultant.
For 25 years, I've worked--both independently and for various consultants and organizations--assisting students from all over the world who are applying to some of the nation's most elite colleges and universities. This year alone some of "my" kids got into Johns Hopkins University, The University of Pennsylvania, Penn State, UCLA, and UVA. Past classes have received acceptances at Cornell, Dartmouth, Haverford, and Northwestern. However, I'm willing to work with all students, including students with learning challenges, so it's okay if none of those schools are on your child's list (or your list) of universities.
I've also assisted students applying to graduate school, medical school, and physicians applying to residencies. While my main claim to fame (such as it is) may be a fiction writer, the same skills that have enabled me to create character-driven fiction have also enabled me to help students find their voice on the page and convey their personality to the schools to which they are applying.
But wait! It doesn't end there! I've ghostwritten blogs and white papers, edited resumes, and also worked as a developmental editor with writers who are crafting their own novels. My rates depend on the nature of the project but to use a cliche (just this once) "no job is too small." The only things I won't do are 1. use AI and 2. ghostwrite an entire novel.
